Sundar challenges Meenakshi that if she can drag the Shivling with her strength, locality people will pay taxes; otherwise, they won’t. Confident in her power, Meenakshi agrees and orders the Shivling to be tied with a chain. However, as she attempts to pull it, the Shivling glows and burns the chain, forcing her to let go. Sundar and the locality people chant “Har Har Mahadev” in devotion.
Unwilling to accept defeat, Meenakshi orders an elephant to drag the Shivling. But instead of obeying, the elephant bows before it. Even after being beaten, the elephant refuses to move the Shivling and ultimately breaks free from its chains, leaving Meenakshi in shock.
Frustrated, Meenakshi demands the presence of Shukracharya and Diti, but Sundar urges her to choose devotion instead. He explains that Mahadev values love over force and suggests she chant “Har Har Mahadev” while trying again. Though skeptical, Meenakshi decides to test his words.
As she chants, something within her stirs. She touches the Shivling and, to her surprise, lifts it effortlessly. Witnessing this, Sundar and the locality people celebrate, chanting in praise of Mahadev. In Kailash, even Ganesh and Nandi are astonished, recognizing the significance of Meenakshi’s act.
However, instead of embracing devotion, Meenakshi declares that she will take the Shivling to her palace and make it her slave—along with Mahadev himself. Sundar warns her that the only eternal truth is Mahadev. Meenakshi refuses to accept this but admits she has failed in her challenge, declaring that the people of locality no longer need to pay taxes. Sundar thanks her as she leaves, while the chants of “Om Namah Shivaya” echo in the background.
