Sundar confesses his love to Meenakshi, believing they share a bond across many lifetimes. However, Meenakshi rejects him, emphasizing their only connection is enmity. Vayu arrives, furious that Sundar has feelings for Meenakshi, claiming she belongs to him. When Meenakshi denies loving Vayu, he insists she must start loving him and reveals Arunasur arranged their marriage. Meenakshi resists, asserting that Sundar is her enemy and only she has the right to punish him.
Vayu, believing himself superior, threatens Sundar, but Sundar deceives him into leaving by saying he brought a tree for Meenakshi. Once alone, Sundar urges Meenakshi to reconsider his confession, but she firmly rejects him. Rats, summoned by Sundar, free him, shocking Meenakshi. Meanwhile, Lord Narayan explains that Meenakshi’s trust in Arunasur blinds her to Sundar’s true identity, but she will soon understand.
Vayu, realizing he was tricked, asks Meenakshi about Sundar’s whereabouts, but she dismisses him. Sundar later wonders how he survived drinking poisoned water and, upon questioning a forest man, learns that only Shakti’s Shiv can endure poison. He then approaches a shivling, questioning his true identity.
