Mahadev inspects jewellery designs and instructs Munshi to show them to Saraswati and Rupa when they return. Meanwhile, he notices Apollena packing and questions her. She informs him that she is moving to a hostel to continue her engineering studies. Mahadev insists she must stay as she is the daughter-in-law of the house, but Apollena refuses to sacrifice her education for marriage rituals. Although he is not against her studies, he demands she quit if she cannot stay at home.
Mahadev emphasizes the importance of traditions, but Apollena challenges him, questioning why she is being forced to follow them. He ultimately allows her to leave for the hostel but insists she must first complete a ritual at her maternal home. However, Girdhar refuses to welcome her, declaring that Apollena is dead to him and prioritizing his support for his son, Neil. Neil is pleased by his father’s encouragement.
Later, Apollena argues with Shlok about his messy habits, and he dismisses her scolding. She informs him of her plan to leave, and while he pretends to be indifferent, he is secretly upset. Their friends tease them about supporting their partners.
The next day, Mahadev instructs Saraswati to send Apollena to her maternal home with Shlok, but Saraswati disapproves. When Apollena wakes Shlok to accompany her, he refuses, unwilling to face her father. She pleads, and he reluctantly agrees, but Saraswati deliberately injures her hand to prevent him from going. Apollena, concerned, tries to help, but Saraswati insists she leave for the ritual or face Mahadev’s anger. Shlok sides with his mother, leaving Apollena worried as Saraswati ignores her calls.
