Kritikas set themselves on fire. Kartikeya shocked asks what are they doing. Surupa says they are not only his mother but also his teacher who gave him immense knowledge throughout his life; they tried to teach him the value of responsibility towards his parents and asked him to stay with them, but he disobeyed them; they want to give him a final lesson of responsibility before sacrificing themselves into Agni Dev. Parvati requests Mahadev to stop agni dev. Mahadev lifts his trishul. Kartikeya requests Kritikas to stop and agrees to fulfill their wish. He lifts his bow and arrow and accepts that responsibility is more important than personal choice; agni dev arrived on their request; his responsibility is to stay with his parents in Kailash and he will fulfill it. He takes oath that he will call devi Parvati as his mother from hereon.
Precap: Shiv asks Parvati to go and wipe his son’s tears. Parvati says Kartikeya has respect for her but doesn’t consider her as mother. Kartikeya holds her hand calling her maa. Parvati hugs and comforts him. Diti orders Shankarasur and Bhasmasur to kill Kritikas when they enter water.
